Vintage Buffalo Bisons logo. The Bisons were an AHL franchise located in Buffalo, NY during the late 50’s & 60’s. The team was owned by the Pastor brothers, who also owned the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of WNY. In a true marketing move, the team featured the iconic Pepsi bottle cap with the Buffalo name across the bottle cap as their jersey crest logo. The teams last season was 1969-1970, in which they won the AHL Calder Cup Trophy. In the fall of 1970, the NHL Buffalo Sabres began their inaugural season.
